When did you start this shop?
Viotisign started operating officially on 12 January 2007, but we started planning for it during September 2006, when we had our major exams. Had to wait till our major exams were over then we could start on it. (:
What inspired you to start this shop?
An idea of opening an online blogshop to sell handmade girl stuffs struck me when I was still preparing for my major exam. At that time, I’ve not come across any local blogshops before until I started searching for them to see if online blogshops were feasible, it was at that time then I knew there were already so many local blogshops available.
We initially planned to sell different stuffs like handmade hp pouches, self-designed tees and etc, but in the end we just decided to focus on handmade accessories like earrings, necklaces, bracelets and those available in our catalogue now due to limited funds. (:
Till now, I’m more focused on making clay accessories because it is very fun and it’s real amazing to see a piece of non-sculpted clay turn into something so cute with my very own hands, and every single piece is unique in its own way, you cant find another totally-the-same piece elsewhere cause its handmade! Hehe. <3>
Do you gals face any difficulties starting this shop?Hmm. Initially we were worried on how we are gonna deliver the goods safely to the customers and how they are gonna receive payment, also, we didn’t know how we are gonna publicise our blogshop. With more and more experience each day, I guess the problems were slowly being solved. ^^
How many items have you sold so far?Hmm.. Actually I’m not very sure, cause I didn’t really go and count it.
What do you enjoy most while moulding the clay? What I enjoy most when I mould the clay is that it can turn into something so adorable from a plain looking piece of unsculpted clay. As I’m not particularly good in any specific Maths or Science subject, I feel especially happy when I able to mould out something that my customers appreciate, with my hands, and from the piece of clay. ^^
Viotisign's interview is under repair for a day. Meanwhile do read the interview =)
